On the issues
Bock did not respond to Flatwater Free Press’ questionnaire. She told the Nebraska Examiner her priorities would be the swift and accurate fulfillment of voter-approved ballot initiatives, accessible and consistent medical care for Nebraskans and fair tax solutions while maintaining public schools.
Ideus said her top priority would be bridging communication gaps between Nebraska leadership, public servants and citizens that cause unnecessary division and barriers to economic growth.
Both candidates agreed that voter-approved ballot measures should be heard and respected. Ideus said lawmakers should respect legislative intent and equally provide regulatory guidance. Bock told the Nebraska Examiner that voter-approved laws should not be prolonged, altered or ignored.
Location
The district spans Gage County and a portion of Lancaster County that includes Lincoln, Hickman, Roca and Panama.
In the primary
Ideus won the most votes in the primary with 56%. Bock received the remaining 44%.
